View Full Version : Recommend me some games with surreal or bizarre or just plain fun visuals . . .

I enjoy good gameplay, but I also get a kick out of games that rely more on pure visual entertainment. Games like The Neverhood and American McGee's Alice. That game Grim Fandango looks like it might also fit the ticket.

Anything else?

Since I've never played it or seen anything from it, not at all. Is that for the Playstation?

I second Planescape: Torment and Grim Fandango

Also add The Longest Journey

PlaneScape: Torment might be the best choice if you're looking for an rpg.

But for for surreal and bizarre, AND plain fun visuals, it has to be Sacrifice, from Shiny Entertainment.

I'll throw in another recommendation for Torment. The plot and characters complement the visual style perfectly.

Giants Citizen Kabuto has all the visual stimulus you'll ever need my friend.

I'll nominate Sacrifice here, it has some pretty good-looking visuals. Some of the stuff falls under the bizarre, too. Especially some of the monsters and the Bovine Intervention spell

I second Giant Citizen Kabuto. I played it just last month and it is just bizarre. Really funny too.

American McGee's Alice is full of fun and interesting visuals. Not to mention it's just a great game (IMO).:)

I'll fifth or seventh or thirty-fourth Planescape: Torment. Would Black & White qualify?

For truely unique visuals, I vote for MDK.

I just finished Unreal 2, and there were some visuals that made my jaw drop.

Psyconauts from Tim Schafer (Grim Fandango) and Double Fine Productions.

Check out this trailer (http://www.xbox.com/media/games/psychonauts/vid-psychonauts-0001-hi.asx) (Windows Media .ASX format).

Trippy! Too bad it's only coming to X-BOX.
