In the mainline CW, Frontline, and Daily Bugle The Thing, for no obvious reason, supported registration. After realizing the weakness of this arguement, allegiance to Reed/Johny's attack, in the Fantastic Four 538 he leans toward anti-reg. Then in 539 he leaves the country largely due to his anti-violence beliefs. My main issue with all this is that Marvel can't reconcile what it has done with what it wants its characters to be. Sue and Ben should've both went anti-reg immediately to shade the Pro side a little more. Does anyone agree with Stark? How could they?

Stark's side is logical in a real world type of way, but who said we want all our comic to be exact mirrors of the real world.
