Hmm true...we'll see what happens...hopefully they touch up on that on future episodes.

Yeah looks like Jimmy is going to be stirring stuff up in Chicago next week.

I think Nucky has always wanted a wife and kids. And Jimmy is the closest thing he has got to a son.

did anyone get any type of hints that Nucky might Jimmy's dad?
Thought it the second Nuck went to talk to Jimmy's mom.

There is a character on there named Inspector Heinrich Runge, he works for the BKA (basically German FBI).

I'm not very far in so I never made the connection. Do the similarities become more apparent? I never thought of Runge as crazy, more of a genius... I always kinda figured he'd be smart enough to figure out what's really going on. No spoilers!

They're definitely functioning at a similar creep factor. Van Alden gets the edge though.

Yes.

It is literally like Terence Winter watched Monster and said to himself, "You know what would be totally awesome? If I took Runge and made him an actual person."

Also, there is no doubt that Runge is a genius but when he starts to realize that things may not have played out the way he assumes... Well, I'll just say that he modifies how he does his investigation.

A dress shop scene with Paz De La Huerta in every episode would be nice.

Hmmm no I haven't seen this, but the guy does look eerily similar to Van Alden. I might have to check this out.

Interesting...

Damn, now I'm in the mood to watch Monster and I have to work.

Every time I see her, I'm like "DAMN, that chick is gorgeous."

And I actually really liked her as a character before she started treating Margaret like shit. Now she's an epic cunt.

Give it a shot. So far, it's a very interesting show. Really different from most anime I've seen, in that it's fairly grounded and mature.

Try not to read much about it going in. I had no clue what I was in for and it made the first few episodes awesome. It takes some time to get going but once you realize what it's about, it hits you all at once what a great concept it is.

Nice, I'll give it a go, and I know absolutely nothing about it so that should make it interesting as well.

Granted I haven't seen him in alot, but I never noticed how much Michael Shannon sounds like the dude who did K-Billy's Super Sounds of the 70's from Reservoir Dogs.

Not a complaint.
I once read an interview with her in which she complained about photographers who didn't want her to take her clothes off, since she feels more comfortable and beautiful without them.

Seriously lacked some Michael Shannon. But other than that, awesome.

Anyone else think the fact that the prostitute's scar matches Michael K William's scar might be foreshadowing something from Chalky's backstory?

Hmmm no that never really crossed my mind, but I'd definitely be cool with more back story on Chalky.

I'd say this was the best episode so far. I haven't been friendly to the show wary that it has been trying to impress me with money tits and star power. The stories haven't invigorated me. Last night there was some impressive smack. And I am glad they are advancing Schroeder quickly as possibly some Lady MacBeth. She was really beginning to bore me. And I am also glad Jimmy has aligned with Capone making that a more prominent story than being Nucky's failed toady.
