Too me, there were two major revelations during that table conversation. First, Brody confessed a deep emotional attachment/allegiance to Abu Nazir; which could lead to different possibilities. And second, Brody looked like he really believed he had killed Tom Walker. So, like someone else said, who's to say what is true and what is false now?

I don't think that Saul is a mole/terrorist at all. Brody, well I am not sure, the show has really mind****ed me about this. What I am wondering is why he is trying to play the hero for the media. Like the guy who has lost controll of his legs in the previous episode said, this is unlike his character.

They've done a really good job evoking the instability of both Brody and Carrie, which allows any number of future plot turns. I think this was my favorite episode yet.

Sure moving fast. I kinda like it. Not sure if I'll like it for the future. Take out the Brody as a terrorist angle and I'm not sure I care as much about half the cast anymore. As I imagine the rest of the season will deal with our ressurected soldier and the mole, I'm having trouble imagining how they'll make Brody, his wife, and Mike compelling anymore (as the triangle stuff was never among the strong suits of the show). But I have faith.

Holy tap dancing Jesus - I KNEW IT! (actually I did for a while, then I didn't, but I knew he has to have something up with him!)

This show just gets better and better...and better! My sweet old step dad who has dementia and doesn't like any shows - LOVES this show so much. It's the only time he loses his dementia! Watching Homeland! Thank you makers of Homeland.

Does anyone think Dick Johnson was set up? I thought it was just a funny allusion to Weiner, but there was that mention at the end of him being opposed to surveillance and drones in the middle east. There's definitely a Manchurian Candidate vibe to this.

I was watching Terminator 3 on cable the other day, and Claire Danes had zero sex appeal at that age in that movie.

Almost 10 years later, she's now what you'd call a fox.

There's definitely an indication that....if he wasn't set up...then his downfall was probably hastened by ensuring the embarassing info about him was leaked to the press. She brought Saul over to watch the news conference, already knowing it was going to take place. So something fishy was going on for sure.

I love that her character is both pretty much spot-on most of the time all while being a total mess personally. She is a great, flawed character. There is no way this season can't end badly for many of the major players. It almost doesn't matter if they stop the terrorist plot because so many of the lives we've been following are going to be in shambles no matter what happens. I think that is the real genius and clear subtext of this show. Sure, there are real terrorist. Sure, you can pull out all the stops to thwart the terrorist plots. But, ultimately have you thrown out the baby with the bathwater?

I think they might be setting Brodie up as a martyr. They want to became a senator and advocate against the war on terror. Then his buddy will shoot him.

Pretty much ready to declare this the best drama airing at the moment aside from maybe Boardwalk.

Also, Mandy Patinkin's pissed off face when Carrie is confessing screwing Brody is gold. He's soooooooo good.

Yea, I think his buddy is set to shoot Brodie, too. Your prediction is spot-on, IMO.

Shooting Brody to have any impact would sort of take a lot of time. I mean, it's not like he's just gonna be like "I wanna be a congressman!" and tossed in there in a week. Then they'd have to establish what he'd even be a martyr for, and that takes more time. It also brings up if that is their plan, why they are giving this guy a sniper rifle already and not after all that takes place. Seems like a lot to go through to shoot someone for being an advocate against the war on terror when there's like 200 people they could use too. If the plan does take that route I imagine his Muslim faith will come out after becoming a Congressman and he'll be "killed" for being Muslim, which would certainly ignite some passions.

Actually, I thought about it some more, and it wouldn't make sense unless a lot more players and pieces were involved.

You're right. Maybe Brody is the long term plan and his buddy is the shot term one. His buddy is just there to create general havoc. Brody becoming a congressman, possibly spurred on by his response to his friend's havoc, and a CIA investigation of him is S2.

Also, loved Baccarin's moment of refusing to be punished anymore. That plotline was always my least favorite, and another show (the Walking Dead) has a similar one and I just wanna shake these women and tell them to stand the **** up for themselves and that most rational people are not going to think what they did was bad. Homeland handled it much better, but still drew it out a bit longer than I would've liked.

Also, Brodie's perfect family this episode was totally DAAAWWWWWW worthy.

This show is really good at keeping me guessing. They almost had me convinced that Brody was simply a wounded soul who is suffering from PTSD.

I don't think so, bc they've proven they can do those kinds of ending repeatedly. They have some terrific writers on this show. I also think if there's any justice, we will see emmy nominations next year for Claire Danes (lead actress), Damian Lewis (lead actor), and Mandy Patinkin (supporting actor).

I'd prefer 1 season of a good show than 2 mediocre ones like a lot of serialized shows seem to go for (right before getting cancelled).

Agree that homeland handled this situation better, but that is certainly no surprise to any of us.

As far as the characters go, Jessica waited 6 years before hooking up with the best friend, while Laurie waited what, like 2 weeks, maybe a month tops, depending on the timeline. Jessica's choice is totally justifiable where Laurie's is kind of inappropriate. So I'd probably shake Jessica and smack Laurie.

I think zombie apocalypse sort of multiplies the time a bit. I'd say it's like she waited 2 years or something.

It's a fair point.

If my wife dies, zombie apocaplypse or not, I wouldn't feel right hooking up so soon after, if ever. Besides the fact I would be devastated, it would feel very disrespectful. Add in that my daughter would have to deal with the death of her mother, family, friends and everything she ever knew...transitioning from a world in which she ate ice cream, watched TV and played with Barbies, board games and the Wii to one where the main goal in life is to not get eaten by zombies. I don't think hooking up a month later would be in my future.

I can definitely see the other side though where someone would say...Hey, the world is ending so fuck it.
