NFL Twenty-Twelve.

Aight, enough of 2011... I'm on to tha next one!

If you so please... by all means continue talking about this past season/post-season in the 2011 thread but let's start fresh for any upcoming draft/season talk...... even if this thread gets buried for weeks on end until August.

It'll be easier to look back on things come the fall into this thread than the other.

1st order of business: Patriots look favoured to land WR Brandon Lloyd which would be a terrific #2 beside Welker. Lloyd's already said as much he's tied to Josh McDaniels (followed him from Denver to St. Louis already)... I'm pro this rumour.

I would like to see the Giants play the Eagles opening game- SB champ v best team to miss the playoffs. Please not the fcuking Cowboys so early down our throats k thx.

Brady Quinn should not be throwing stones in the glass house that is Denver.

Any free agent predictions? I wouldnt be surprised to see Reggie Wayne want out of Indy.

Says the retard who replies with the Super Bowl recap link.

As for the biggest game in Patriots franchise history, they tucked that away nicely against the Raiders years ago.

Nice to see no one here is bitter.

Being a Browns and Redskins fan, draft season is often the most exciting time of the year for me.

I'd torn on Cleveland: I know it makes sense to trade up for Griffin, but it hurts to lose that extra first-round pick that we so wisely acquired last year. Then again, if he pans out, it would undoubtedly be worth. Still need a playmaking wide receive to complement Little (who I still think could be a good No. 2 -- showed enough last year).

As for the Redskins, the defense is playoff-caliber already. The right quarterback is, as always, the key. If Tannehill evaluates as well as some are projecting, he would make an interesting mid-first round pick. Add a young wide receiver to take some pressure off Moss (who should be able to function as a first-rate possession receiver for at least a few more years) and I think we could have a dangerous team.

It was an obvious parody of your non-response to the link you posted above.

I look forward to more of your commentary and excellent link-posting in this thread, TeamCanada.

As someone who doesn't think Tebow will last 3 weeks next season, Quinn should act like a professional.

It's a deep one this year. I hope RG3 doesn't get banished to Cleveland but looks like they'll go all-in to grab him.

I'd rather him go to Cleveland than DC.

The Raiders have apparently joined the ranks of those that operate with a GM; the type which will, apparently, be allowed to retool the roster as he sees fit.

And for these reasons, I am excited.

And Al Davis is dead.

And his son seems to be more than willing to let competent professionals handle football operations.

And for these other reasons, I am excited.

Sadly, I think my Ravens had their best chance at the Superbowl this past year. I think this year will be much more trying. Although I do sense that people will finally start giving Flacco some love.

Much better, TC. This thread is moving now.

I don't think Buffalo's going to be any better next year, to be honest. Fitz and his WRs need to be firing on all cylinders for more than 4 games. I'm not convinced Fitzpatrick can keep the team in tact, but Fred Jackson's gotta stay healthy. However, CJ Spiller was a capable filler in his space, and maybe could take some reps.

They probably need to reinforce the D, since they either had to out-gun New England or get out-gunned by Mark friggin' Sanchez (!!!). Bah.

As for the Broncos, well, the Tebow thing still has to play out. I don't know that I can trust anymore playoff pushes from this current squad (at least with Tebow at the helm), but let's assume he improves this offseason and has a better feel for the team and playbook with training camp and pre-season. Maybe... maybe he doesn't completely suck? Maybe he can maintain a solid offense? But that's the most optimistic outlook, IMO. I hope for it, but I'm not expecting it. Regardless, Denver has to find young, talented bodies in their defensive backfield. Dawkins will return for maybe 1 more season in a limited capacity. Champ is a stud, but an aging stud. Andre Goodman probably has to go. They also need strong D-lineman - some kind of up-the-middle pass rush threat, and a healthy Ty Warren and maybe a couple other legit run stoppers. Knowshon Moreno probably isn't cutting it at this point. He may get another chance on the roster, but I think Denver's looking to draft a RB, and possibly in the 1st round, too.

Calling it now... in his 3rd season, Spiller will be the "breakout" back of the year. Top 8 in total yardage in the league and the fantasy sleeper everyone says they knew would happen.

Every D-coordinator in the league will make the adjustments necessary to contain the current version of Tebow. The question is, will Tebow be able to make the necessary adjustments that will allow success?

Exactly. First 6 or so games of the season will be very telling.
