I am going to have to come back to this. I love both and they're really tough to compare. A friend and I still have an annual battlemode competition with Mario Kart, and I used to play that all the time as a kid. SNES Mario Kart is still my favorite of the series. But Resident Evil 4 is also amazing. I don't think I'd change anything about either game.

Resident Evil 4. A glorious horror-adventure experience that solved series problems with elegant simplicity. The switch out of more claustrophobic horror might upset purists, but for what the game attempts to be, it succeeds almost flawlessly.

Almost, because dragging Ashley around is something of a hassle, and because the story is so dreadfully dull. The earlier games were awful stories, but that gave them a bit of B-movie charm. Rising to mediocrity may not have been the best move by developers.

Resident Evil 4. The game is damn-near perfect, save for the final act, which is severely underwhelming. They should have just cut out that Jet ski bit.

Definitely RE4. I played through that damn thing about 10 times at least. If it was Mario Kart Wii it would be a tough call.

I'm fine with Resident Evil 4 getting wiped out early. Now if it was RE2 then we'd have issues. Even though it is not my favorite entry in the series (which is Double Dash (shut up)) Super Mario Kart takes this round.

Indeed. The end-story explosion escape is a cliche that needs to die.

Super Mario Kart is one of my favorite games, but I've never played a Resident Evil game, so...

First tough one for me, but I go with Mario Kart. Just to make things more interesting.

Resident Evil 4 runs circles around Super Mario Kart, so this choice was easy.

Shame Blue Shells weren't invented yet otherwise RE4 would be in trouble. It's-a not looking-a good, Mario.

Resident Evil 4 is absolutely a great game, but I think it's a bit too long and overstuffed. Capcom should have cut a few sections of the game to make it a tighter experience. The game felt like it was spinning its wheels during some sections of the castle.

One of my few complaints about the game. The castle part goes on and on and on and just when you think its over... another huge section of the castle opens up and on you continue. Considering the size of the other sections, it makes the game feel really unbalanced. Great game though, it easily gets my vote over Mario Kart.

Nope, never played the original Super Mario Kart nor Resident Evil 4. I've had a minor amount of experience with both series but neither of these installments.

Resident Evil 4 is my favorite game of all time after Super Mario 3. It is almost flawless. I bought it on GameCube and on PS2 with the new add ons. SM3 is the only game I played more.

I would agree it is unbalanced with more time spent in the castle than other parts. But it is impossible for the game to be too long. I wish it was never ending.
