Rate: A Few Good Men
Ya know, I've really grown to love this movie, alot. Back in the day, the first time I saw it I never really gave it a fair shake but now having sat down and really soaked it in.. the thing is just full of good performances and it's very well written. I love the opening credits. Love.
9.5/10. |

B+ or A-
Incredibly effective despite the clichés and some glitches in the performances and dialogue.

Nicholson did an amazing job playing Nicholson prentending to be a marine Colonel.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YacNxNWDZPk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZT9P...eature=related Cruise really worked in his role as did Kevin Bacon and Sutherland was excellent in this movie. The silent drill team in the beginning was awesome. Demi Moore was horrible. But in the end the story was weak and went no where, there was pretty much no tension throughout the movie and they tried this BS conspiracy thing that fizzled and went no where. 6/10 and even then that is pushing it. |

Moore was actually really good. I can't think of another movie where she was better and I don't particularly like her or think she's great.

I liked this movie.
Cruise and Nicholson were both excellent I thought. Especially the exchange between them in the famous "You can't handle the truth!" line of questioning. Sutherland was very good also, and commanded the scenes he was in even though there were not many. I thought Moore was adequate, and Bacon was good not great. Pollak was o.k. too. 8/10

Fun as hell, if you ask me. Climax is cheesy, soapy goodness.

9/10 - Deserves a rewatch on my part, but I remember really enjoying it. Anyone else have the Jack Nicholson speech at the end memorized?

Clever joke /10. I really enjoyed it, and always watch it if I catch it on the tube.
I really hated how stupid they made Downey and the other doofus. Cruise really killed in this one.

I don't feel like it holds up very well. I am not sure if that is because it has endlessly been parodied/quoted or just aged poorly.

Courtroom thrillers are not my cup of tea but this is a solid film and well worth seeing. It's turning twenty this year and the fact that it holds up so well cements it as a classic for me.

I don't remember which came first, this or Misery. But once again I was not really aware I was watching a Rob Reiner film when it was in the theaters. With the exception of When Harry Met Sally I never immediately thought the film he made was great when I was watching it but at the end I had this feeling of having just seen a good film and was glad I went to the movies that night. One of these two films were the last ones where I had this feeling. It seemed routine when I was watching it but it really was a cut above and AFGM was good entertainment.

I love Cruise, I love Nicholson, throw in Bacon, Moore and so on, how can you not love it? I haven't seen it in a while though, but still, I'll go 9/10.
You ever notice a lot of Cruise movies have those memorable one liners, eh? Gotta love Tommy boy.

I think the opposite. Whenever I see it's on cable, I have to see at least a bit of it.

One of the all-time rewatchable movies. There are better films, but not too many more entertaining

No doubt. I can't count the number of times I've watched it. Never fails to satisfy.
