I have such a HUGE girl crush on Gemma Arterton it's crazy. I mean Renner is hot - but I'd actually go for Gemma over even him!

Oh, and looks fun I guess. Would not pay to go see it though.

Yeah, looks pretty appropriate for its' January release.

Looks like Brothers Grimm. Not a great thing. Though I guess it has better eye candy.

I'll wait for a red band trailer to make my decision, but it looks like fun, inoffensive fare so far.

Looks like silly fun... the Brothers Grimm but with heavy weapons. I'll be seeing this.

I don't buy Renner as an action star. And they put him in everything.

Looked pretty ok in a lot of ways but had some very worrying flashes. Too much CGI, a Matrix bend, cheesy in a bad way dialogue, and people walking away from an explosion behind them.

Directed by the guy who did this...

Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing...I need to rewatch Dead Snow. I wasn't a fan the first time, but I owe it a rewatch. Hansel And Gretel could be good, the trailer intrigued me. I just hope it's more Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and less Van Helsing.

I can't be the only one relieved it wasn't being directed by Stephen Sommers or that hack Anderson.

This. I watched it yesterday at another site and I couldn't believe how terrible it looked. If I was going to pick two movies to ripoff it wouldn't be The Brothers Grimm or Van Helsing. Two of the worst movies I ever sat through.

It is a bit of a relief. I don't have much hope for this film, but we're at a point where new action directors are needed.

I prefered Outpost over Dead Snow. VERY similar type scenerio, but just a lot more enjoyable, had more substance and better actors.

Could be decent.

This is what they do with Grimm's Fairy Tales in modern times. sad sad sad... Maybe it will be just over the line on the fun meter like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or Van Helsing. One can hope...

Liked Dead Snow, but it wasn't fantastic. Zombie nazis just friggin rule, that's the main thing! Didn't like Outpost though.

I guess I should have said "at least" as much fun as those were. I know those are fairly panned, but I had a good time with each. League is the better film... my mother is a big reader. She loved League. I could finally see why after watching it a few weeks back for the first time.

I find myself very torn. On one hand, I love the cast so that's good. And the concept of it could be really fun. I liked Bros Grimm, not the best Terry Gilliam film but overall solid. This looks very Van Helsing. Not a bad thing b/c damn it, I like that movie. I'm a Universal Monsters whore so the theme and idea was awesome, maybe not the execution but still.

But then... machine guns? Wow. Could be really, really bad and everyone involved will be embarrassed.

I compare Van Helsing to kind of a big budget Hercules or Xena film with Universal Monsters thrown in. League of Ex-Gentlemen is more like a modern big budget Hammer movie. If you think about it, that is all pretty accurate.

One day I will come to terms with the fact that the beautiful, otherworldly and downright awesome Gemma Arterton was unable to make the Catwoman audition because of this.

I don't get the whole rewatch thing on a bad movie. Well, I thought it was bad but maybe it was hormones so to be a true cineaste I should rewatch this just to make sure. Oh yeah, it was bad, seems good.

Not that I am making fun of you, actually my good friend rewatches things and can find interesting takes, like he rewatched Batman Returns and we had this awesome conversation about Catwomen and how secretly amazing The Penguin was, yet people seem to overall hate The Penguin.

Sorry just made me think of a unrelated thing.
