The Three Stooges movie really wasn't that bad

Maybe it was because I was drunk, but I found it to be pretty endearing and funny most of the time. I actually laughed out loud more than once and the story was decent enough. I don't think it needed to be anything other than what it was. Which was just a good old slapstick comedy. Sure, there were a couple eye rollers, but at least it was charming. And the whole Jersey Shore thing was purely entertaining, but at the same time, made sense with the plot. Having liked the movie now, I'm sure I would've loved the heck out of it as a kid.

Also, Mustafah was probably the worst actor in the movie. Stick to commercials, dude.

I'm a huge Stooges fan so I'll probably see this eventually. Any cameo from Shemp?

No Shemp. At first, I thought you meant the actor who died in 1955. But yea, this was streaming on Amazon for $3.99.

I was actually pretty dispointed that they didnt at least have some kind of a short cameo at the orphanage with Shemp and Joe but it is what it is.

Curly and Moe were absolute perfect.
Larry......not so much.

Final Fantasy Realm Reborn Discussion

The true secret in being a hero lies in knowing the order of things. The swineherd cannot already be wed to the princess when he embarks on his adventures, nor can the boy knock on the witch's door when she is already away on vacation. The wicked uncle cannot be found out and foiled before he does something wicked. Things must happen when it is time for them to happen. Quests may not simply be abandoned; prophecies may not be left to rot like unpicked fruit; unicorns may go unrescued for a very long time, but not forever.

The happy ending cannot come in the middle of the story.

I've NEVER liked the Three Stooges anyway (I was more a Marx Brothers and Chaplin fan) - and this movie makes me want to punch kittens.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that the "Sammin Farm" reveal was probably one of the hardest laughs I've had with a movie this year. Lion nut shot aside, this was a really fun movie.

It's been scientifically proven that women do not and will never like/appreciate the Three Stooges.

I laughed harder at this movie that I thought I would. You can tell it is a love-letter to the stooges for the most part.

Coma Toes had me rolling.

I laughed at the Stooges and I'm not afraid to admit it

The trailer looked pretty terrible. Maybe I'll give it a chance when it's on demand.

I think I should point out that this is NOT a good movie. However, if you are a fan of the Stooges, you might actually find it be somewhat smart and kinda sweet in places.

The whole part with Jersey Shore was just ugh. It's totally going to date the movie in a couple years time.

Meh. I loved watching Moe slap them around. Just hilarious.

Not a good movie, but certainly not a bad one. It is a flawed but welcome ode to slapstick in an era that is so woefully vacant of it.

Some of the Stooges shorts were smarter than they needed to be. I've always been amazed how sharp and ahead of the curve their anti-axis power short was.

The movie is so-so, but I enjoyed it enough that I might buy it on BR for $5. By that time my daughter will be old enough to get most of it

Sweet. Because I think they are slap stick bollocks. So I feel better now... (oh, and my boyfriend hates them even more than I do)

I would agree with this. I am a Stooges fan and I thought it was a great homage to this trio. And yes, there were some enjoyable and funny parts. It isn't a great movie, just average, but I think they hit the right notes for any Stooges fan.

I wonder what it would've been like with the original cast of Sean Penn as Larry, Jim Carrey as Curly, and Benecio Del Toro as Moe.

I feel like that would've been a mess. Unless maybe they were going for a more serious, documentary style movie.
