This should have been the Lincoln trailer

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=95497

So much better then the first one and now I'm really excited to see this movie.

You know, I think I understand what you're like now. You're very beautiful and you think men are only interested in you because you're beautiful, but you want them to be interested in you because you're you. The problem is, aside from all that beauty, you're not very interesting. You're rude, you're hostile, you're sullen, you're withdrawn. I know you want someone to look past all that at the real person underneath but the only reason anyone would bother to look past all that is because you're beautiful. Ironic, isn't it? In an odd way you're your own problem.

Not the voice I pictured Abe Licoln having. Something is not working for me.

this movie looks like a lot of cataclysmic level scenery chewing, from the trailer.

Huge improvement over the "War Horse 2" trailer.

I like it, but it comes off more as an Oliver Stone film towards the end.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

This is looking more like Amistad and War Horse Spielberg than Saving Private Ryan or Schindler Spielberg. This is a bad thing.

I hope DDL's Oscar speech is similar to when Louis CK won his second Emmy this year. "Yeah...thanks, this awesome because I really wanted another one."

DDL sounds exactly like Jim Carrey in A Christmas Carol 3D.

That is much worse than the first. For christ's sake they make a 9-11 reference.

The absence of cheesy music makes it better, but not by much.

I know that Lincoln reportedly had a high-pitched voice, and I'm sure that I'll be used to it by the time I am an hour in, but it still irritates me. Hell, if they're going for a weepy mythological portrayal anyway why not make him sound like he did in Bill and Ted!

Eh. I think we've already deified Lincoln enough.

I saw Tommy Lee Jones sporting a bad wig. The good news is that this trailer didn't make me laugh really hard like the War Horse trailer did. The bad news is that it still didn't convince me that I want to see this movie. Besides Lincoln is an overrated president, anyways.

To be frank, both of those movies (Schindler's List to a far lesser extent though) are plagued with that schmaltzy Spielberg sentimentality though.

Any movie trailer that cheaply plays on our sentiments by evoking the memory of Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and 9-11 is not an improvement on anything.

i don't like this trailer either. it's disappointing given the fact i was excited that DDL was cast as lincoln. i thought it would be a decent movie about lincoln. this is just cheesy.
